Lisa Carrell BiographyBorn and raised in Missouri, Lisa Carrell spent the last 12 years working in the entertainment industry where most recently she supervised and managed the benefits department in Human Resources for Paramount Pictures. Her responsibilities included overseeing the health & welfare plans, the retirement benefits plans, paid time off programs, leaves of absence and disability, and work-life programs.With her knowledge of various HR functions and competency in federal and state leave laws as well as her proficiency with PeopleSoft 8.9, Lisa is able to recognize redundancy and manual processes and can streamline processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness. With a background in film, she has produced two award-winning short films, giving her an even greater understanding of the entertainment industry. Prior to working in entertainment, Lisa lived and worked for a year in Moscow, Russia. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys hiking and reading scripts and books. She can’t seem to live without coffee, March Madness, and the NFL and still enjoys a good bowl of borscht. Douglas Pursley BiographyDouglas Pursley is a 15-year retail veteran with the Wal-Mart, Inc. family of companies. Mr. Pursley has worked closely with many Fortune 500 companies advising on marketing, operations, merchandising and logistic programs and processes’.Pursley most recently served as Director of Product Marketing for Sam's Club. In this capacity he oversaw the day-to-day operations of one of the largest product marketing programs in the country. Prior to that assignment Mr. Pursley worked for Walmart.com as the Store Integration Manager. He was involved in many integral projects including launching a business to business sales model, ship to store delivery program and working with in store programs to be in sync with the online channel. Throughout his career, he has continued to expand his knowledge in retail programs and its impact on the consumer. Mr. Pursley graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Communications. In his free time he is heavily involved in Junior Achievement, using his hands-on experiences to assist young people with the economics of today's world and Rebuilding Together, an organization that helps to revitalize houses and communities for the poor, elderly and disabled.
