Walter Wong
Walter Wong

Biography

Walter Wong is a Human Resource Practice Leader and Managing Partner for TouchPointe. He has over 20 years experience in Human Resources specializing in Staffing and Employment. Prior to TouchPointe, Walter was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Diversified Resource Group Inc, an HR and Staffing firm serving public, private and non-profit companies. In 2006, he was among 1000 recipients in the United States to be honored with the “National Congressional Leadership Award” for excellence in support of independent businesses in America. He was honored by attending a dinner and reception with President Bush and other political dignitaries in Washington, DC.

Walter comes to TouchPointe as a seasoned professional with management, human resources, staffing and employment background specializing in HR and Recruiting for the sales, healthcare, insurance and financial service, information technology, engineering, management, manufacturing, customer service and the human resource industries.  Management experience includes corporate start ups, human resource functions, financial, strategic planning, sales and marketing, budget and expenses, P&L forecasting, staffing and training, employee relations and supervision.

Walter relocated to Southern CA in 2000 from the state of Connecticut where he was employed as a Staffing Consultant, Employment Counselor and HR professional with several Fortune 500 Insurance Corporations such as the Travelers, Aetna and Liberty Mutual Insurance Companies. In addition, Walter’s experience includes working for one of Connecticut’s largest private general hospital as an HR Consultant managing all of their full time, temporary and per diem employment functions. He was then recruited to become the Regional Employment Manager for the National Federation of Independent Business. NFIB is the nation’s leading advocacy organization for small and independent businesses.

Walter received his Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communication with a minor in Political Science from Southern Connecticut State University. During that time, he served as a Resident Director, Class Officer and Student Government Representative. While at Southern Connecticut, Walter also competed as a college and national gymnast seen on ESPN under the direction of the US Olympic Coach. After his bachelors, he received a full ride to go on for his Masters Degree from Southern Connecticut in Instructional Technology and Organizational Development. Along with his degree, Walter was named “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges”. Shortly after graduation, he was asked back to Southern Connecticut to become a faculty professor teaching HR theories, corporate communications and conduct various employment workshops.  During all this, Walter also served his country in the Army National Guard for 10 years as an Army Recruiter and Officer.

Currently Walter volunteers his time as a Career Coach at Saddleback Church of Lake Forest, CA within their Career Coaching Ministry, guiding and coaching those in transition with their job searches.

David Berry
David Berry

Biography

David Berry, a versatile leader with over 25 years of financial management experience, was born and raised in Orange County, California.  After graduating from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree in Accounting, he returned to Orange County to work for Arthur Young & Co, now Ernst & Young.  After almost five years in public accounting, Mr. Berry then transitioned into a career in operating financial management, starting as a financial analyst with Coldwell Banker, and progressing to President of a $30 million aerospace supplier and CFO of a $95 million public company.

As CFO of DynTek, a value added reseller and integrator of network, infrastructure and access technologies,  Mr. Berry was responsible for all finance and accounting operations, including SEC reporting and compliance, risk management and process integration.  Prior to DynTek, he was VP, Finance, and then President of Irvin Aerospace, a leading supplier of parachute systems to military and commercial customers.  At Irvin, Mr. Berry was responsible for the consolidation of Irvin operations back to Southern California, implementing a new ERP system, doubling sales and converting consistent losses to double digit operating margins.

Mr. Berry has extensive experience in a range of engineering and manufacturing environments from Fortune 500 to smaller privately held companies, in the technology, aerospace, industrial products and real estate development industries.  He has developed a leadership style based on high standards of integrity, collaboration and teamwork, continuous improvement and operational excellence. 

Mr. Berry lives in Ladera Ranch, California with his wife and two sons, and is an avid runner, outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast.

Biography

Most recently, Cara worked with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, focusing on building relationships with its elite clientele, to include: International diplomats, politicians, celebrities, and elite businessmen/women. Cara was promoted from National Sales Manager role after earning the earning the President’s Circle Award in first year with the world-renowned company.

Previously focused on luxury Resort infrastructure and operations, both training and overseeing departments to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Served as company trainer and mentor for three luxury hotel companies, focusing on building service-oriented sales and operations techniques for employees. Cara had a proven track record of boosting company revenues while also enhancing employee & customer satisfaction.

Currently with TouchPointe in Orange County and is looking forward to her role as a Senior Recruiter, building long term relationships with candidates and clients.

Cara graduated with Dean’s Honors from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Psychology.
She lived and studied in Tuscany, Italy in 2002.  Cara earned Division I All-American Honors (2001) as a gymnast. Currently, Cara lives in San Clemente with her husband, with whom she enjoys traveling, outdoors, and fitness.
